Amy Cassidy
Taking inspiration from the natural realm, my artistic style incorporates abstract expression of recognizable forms of the environment, wildlife, and mythology into unique compositions. An evolution of various creative techniques and media, my works blend color, light and texture into organic forms that are at once both familiar and unexpected, bold and subtle. With roots in traditional painting, I enjoy fusing painting fundamentals with technology in an abstract, modern application. The style of my paintings is a result of how vividly I experience the world around me. Layers of color and high-gloss finishing resin or plexiglass lead to a dimensional effect that draws the eye in deeper and deeper, revealing something new each time one looks beyond the glassy surface.
