about the artist:
keith kastor

I have always liked to draw, so when I retired I decided to take it full time as an amateur graphics hobbyist. I took drawing classes at Art League Houston, but I have no formal training otherwise. I draw using India ink, colored ink and marker. My subjects include architectural, coastal, portraits, planes, trains, cars, dogs, horses and people doing things. I strive for a semi-realistic comic strip style. I further my development by studying and copying the work of legends such as Charles Dana Gibson, Thomas Nash and Norman Rockwell, and contemporaries such as John Buscema, Andy Smith, Christopher Hart, Enrique Romero, Luis Royo and Claudia Nice. I have been a member of Imperial Art Alliance for six years. I live too far away to attend many meetings, but I enjoy the art shows, to show what I have been doing and to see what others have been doing.
