artist: Michelle florence
Inspired by color, Michelle understands how color impacts our daily lives and our emotions. Growing up, she was never satisfied with a Crayola box of 64 crayons – she wanted more!
At the age of 3, Michelle’s parents realized her artistic talents when she used that box of crayons on her boring white walls. Today, Michelle’s art continues to be filled with vibrant colors that evoke happy and bright emotions in her contemporary, minimalistic style. |
Her favorite mediums include acrylic, watercolor, fused and stained glass,
photography, and pen and ink. She says her biggest influences are M.C. Escher, Peter Batchelder, Paul Klee and Piet Modrian.
Whether it is with a brush or pen or mouse,
Michelle finds her inspiration on the blank page in front of her.
Her art and graphic designs have been honored to received numerous awards and recognitions. Her contemporary folk art style has been featured in the Fort Bend Lifestyle and featured artist with October Studios. She created a series of collectable and tradeable lapel pins and envelopes for the USPS.
Professionally, Michelle works for one of the top civil engineering firms where she is the lead graphic designer, brand manager and training specialist creating the company’s
visual brand and high-profile collateral.
